A recap of what the team at One Future Collective has been up to, in the past month.

One Future Collective has been working on a number of fun projects and events recently and the month of June, just as every other month, has been a novel learning experience for all of us at OFC. We have put together all that we did in the past one month here.

Townhall III: Team One Future

We hosted our team Townhall on the 23rd of June. The day saw active brainstorming, assessing and evaluation along with tons of catching up amongst team members.

Interactive Session: How to be a Great Ally, Delhi    

We hosted an interactive session in collaboration with Gently Altered and CRED during FLOW, an evening of celebrating inclusivity in Delhi on the 22nd of June. The session was on the theme ‘How to be a Great Ally’. Our Delhi team led by Vidur alongwith Swarnima and Shantanu facilitated the session.

                  

Certificate Course: Participatory Training in Human Rights Education, Mumbai 

We organised a two-day certificate course in Participatory Training in Human Rights Education alongwith Safecity supported beautifully by Canada in India (High Commission of Canada) at the Canadian Consulate in Mumbai. The course was held on the 27th and 28th June and saw around 22 participants. 

Interactive session: How to be a great Ally, Hyderabad

We hosted an interactive session in collaboration with Gently Altered and CRED during FLOW, an evening of celebrating inclusivity in Hyderabad on the 29th of June. The session was on the theme ‘How to be a Great Ally’. Our COO Jerin Jacob facilitated the session.

We hosted an interactive session in collaboration with Gently Altered and CRED during FLOW, an evening of celebrating inclusivity in Bangalore on the 29th of June. The session was on the theme ‘How to be a Great Ally’. Our Bangalore team members Samragni, Melita and Uttanshi facilitated the session.

Conversation with Lisa Ray, Mumbai

One Future Collective’s Sanskaari Girls Book Club, in collaboration with Harper Collins India, and B3C hosted Lisa Ray in conversation about her latest book- Close to the Bone on the 30th of June at CoWrks, Worli. The event saw close to 50 people in attendance.

Book Club Meetups: Sanskaari Girls

The Sanskaari Girls Book Club hosted meetups across states in the month of June. Members came together and discussed Sujata Massey’s book The Widows of Malabar Hill.

The One Future fellowship is a transformative personal social leadership journey, for and by young persons, executed over the course of three months (August-October).  It is a part time learning and action based program that equips fellows with the skills to take on social challenges and design and implement innovative solutions.
