Position Title: Senior Program Officer, Programs

Reporting to: Lead, Programs

CTC: 3,96,000 INR which includes:

  1. 3,60,000 INR paid out monthly, i.e., 30,000 INR x 12;
  2. 36,000 INR (2,000 INR per month) to be paid at the end of the year as a retention bonus;*
  3. Health Insurance worth 5 lakhs INR.

*Please note that this retention bonus will not be paid if the stipulated duration of engagement is not completed for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to being let go due to poor performance or any other reason.

About the Role: This is a full-time, hybrid role. We prefer for the candidate to be based out of Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore, but are open to candidates who are present in other cities within India too. 

Key selection criteria 

We are looking for individuals who can fulfill the following criteria:

  • A bachelor’s degree in gender studies, sociology, psychology, development studies, law, policy, or a related field.
  • At least 1+ year of relevant full-time work experience. A masters’ in a relevant field may be considered as work experience.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in a fluid entrepreneurial environment, including willingness to learn new systems or approaches quickly.
  • Ability to communicate and work with a remote team.
  • Ability to synthesise knowledge from different sources, build interlinkages and apply it to knowledge products and services.
  • Excellent research, written and verbal communication, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to facilitate learning experiences for others [virtual and in-person]. This includes creating engaging learning resources, confidence in holding space and navigating difficult conversations and translating complex ideas simply for larger audiences.
  • Comfortable with being on video to teach, facilitate and record.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise and multitask.
  • Fluent in English, Hindi and/or other regional languages.

Roles & Responsibilities 

Program Development and Management 

  1. Undertake research on gaps in learning programs available in areas of social justice and human rights.
  2. Management of program assessments and reporting. 
  3. Development of curriculum: learning outcomes, timelines, instructional methods, creating engaging course content, determination of evaluation criteria and related work. 

Facilitation 

  1. Undertake online and offline participatory facilitation of live learning experiences, including cohort-based learning. 

Creating learning resources and partnerships 

  1. Building partnerships to take our learning programs and products to a larger audience.
  2. Developing engaging self-paced learning programs. 
  3. Researching and creating knowledge products: books, manuals, games and more.

Administrative responsibilities 

  1. Production and dissemination of resources with support from the team.
  2. Operational management of learning programs with support from the team.
