Working with OFC in the Founders Office
Hello, please consider this a personal note from me, as you will work most closely with me while working at One Future Collective as an Associate in the Founders’ Office. I invest immensely in people that report to me, from specific 1:1 feedback to expanding their networks, capacities and fast tracking their career within and outside OFC. To do this in a manner that is useful and successful for both of us, you need to be sure that you can stick it out in this role for at least 2 years. I look for self-starters who are willing and able to start with a blank page, ask questions and figure it out through the use of online resources, but be equally comfortable with a cold call or visit to get things moving.
Given the work I do, and therefore you will do, you need to be extremely comfortable with talking to people you don’t know, making an ask and building relationships along the way. The role is one that is fast-paced, and you will have intense periods. I need you to be able to receive constructive feedback without personalising it and hold capacity for the inner work required to deliver excellent quality work consistently. I expect you to be well organised, own deadlines, and over time become a thinking partner for me.
In turn, I am clear with strategic direction, provide answers readily when asked questions and ensure availability to think alongside those that work with me. I challenge and expect my team to be on a steep learning curve alongside me, and work smarter and better.
The work we do is important towards seeing a world we imagine transformed into a living reality for us and generations to come. I want to work with you if you understand this importance and the work it takes to get there.
