Aishwarya Srinivasan (she/they) is a social psychologist and cognitive anthropologist, whose work is rooted in interdisciplinarity and allows for the viewing of social contexts from multiple lenses. Given her background in cognitive science, evolution, social behaviour, and mental health, her research looks into WEIRD (Western, Education, Industrialized, Rich, Democratic) social science, and what it means to look for norms, structures and narratives outside of the heavily studied Western (data gathering and presenting) context. In her non-work time, she enjoys reading science fiction/fantasy literature, learning how to sketch comics, and figuring out ways to communicate ideas kept behind academic gates to the general public in accessible manners.
