Sj is a passionate advocate for inclusion and social justice. They are a board member at Queer Youth Group (QYG), a leading queer rights organization working for Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) rights in Nepal. They are also at a part of the organizing team of The Annual Nepal Pride Parade along with its fundraiser event ‘Heart to हाट’. They are also a board member at Women Leaders in Technology (WLiT), a non-profit organization initiated with vision to empower young women to become innovators and leaders in STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), and provide them exposure to technical, professional and leadership skills to do so. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Psychology at Thames International College (2021-Present), they co-founded The Q Initiative (2023), a student body championing the rights and well-being of LGBTQIAP+ students. They are a skilled leader with expertise in intersectionality, gender equality, inclusive education and resource building, mental health, digital rights, community building, event organizing, and facilitation.
